Green coffee beans are known by all to be a very recent phenomenon. But it is not so. Pure green coffee bean extract is known to the world at large very recently but, its roots lie in the ancient past of a particular country.
This has been said to be in practice from as early as 1100 A.D., when it was first discovered in Arabia. At that time roasting the beans was a concept very alien to man. So then, the natives of this place used to soak the beans and made what they called a tea like substance for themselves to drink. The poor natives were not aware about the pros this drink would bring for their forthcoming generations. Nor could they predict that what they used to drink as some common drink would, one day, become a root to a sensational invention in the world of nutrition and dietary supplements.
Interestingly, till date this practice lives on in the natives of Arabia. This can be seen form the fact that amongst the varied coffee powders made by them, they still make use of the green beans to make certain native varieties of coffee. So one can amusingly say; that the forefathers who invented our today’s nutrition avatar have originated from Arabia.
